It’s 2016 and many Samsung Galaxy smartphone and tablet owners are still waiting for their Android Marshmallow update.

Its been more than four months since Google unveiled it’s  brand new Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Some manufacturers were quick to release the new update and its changes. Others, like Samsung, have been extremely slow to release the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update.

In February, after weeks of rumors and several days of confusion, Samsung finally took a step in the right direction and we finally have some movement for multiple devices.

Samsung has released It’s flagship Galaxy S5 in 2015. Samsung galaxy s5 is a very good device with many features and it is now receiving the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update as claimed by sammobile Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is currently only rolling out to Galaxy S5 variants that run on LG Uplus network. The handsets in question are not locked to the carrier, but are unlocked variants of the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900L).

So, if you have a Samsung Galaxy S5 model number SM-G900L, You could check for update for getting the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade by going to “Settings”>”Software Update”.
